Ingredients

  • 1 pound rotisserie chicken, shredded

  • 1 medium chopped onion

  • 1 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 cans (15-ounce) Great Northern beans, drained and rinsed

  • 14 1/2 ounces chicken broth

  • 2 cans diced green chiles (4-ounce cans)

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin

  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1/2 cup cream

  • Toppings Green onion, Tortilla chips, shredded cheese

Directions

  • In a large saucepan, saute the onion and garlic powder with the olive oil until the onions are translucent.

  • Add in beans, broth, chiles, and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer and cook for another 30 minutes, uncovered.

  • Add in shredded chicken.

  • Remove from heat. Stir in cream and sour cream.

  • Top with shredded cheese, tortilla chips, green onions, lime wedges, or sliced jalapenos.

  • Cook the onions and garlic powder in the olive oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat for a few minutes. Add to the crockpot.

  • Add the rest of the ingredients to the slow cooker, except for sour cream, heavy cream, and toppings.

  • Slow cook the white chili chicken on low for 5 hours or high for 3 hours.

  • Stir in sour cream and heavy cream.

  • Ladle the white bean chili recipe into bowls and add your favorite toppings.
