Quiche (Edit)
Ingredients
1 lb mild italian/pork sausage
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp Parmesan cheese
8 oz Gruyere cheese, 2 cups shredded
4 scallions, minced
1/2 cup all purpose flour
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup half and half
4 eggs, lightly beaten
2 tsp Dijon mustard
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
Directions
Preheat to 350°F
Cook the sausage, breaking it into bite-sized chunks
Grease 9” pie dish with 1 tbsp softened butter
Coat dish with Parmesan cheese
Combine other cheese, sausage, and scallions in a bowl
Sprinkle cheese and sausage mixture evenly in the bottom of the dish
Combine flour, baking powder, pepper, and salt in the same bowl
Whisk in half and half, eggs, 2 tbsp melted butter, mustard, and nutmeg until smooth
Slowly pour over cheese and sausage mixture in the dish
Bake until pie is light golden brown and filling is set, ~30 minutes
Let cool for 15 minutes
