Fondue (Edit)

Recipe is for one pot

Ingredients

  • 1 clove of garlic

  • 250 ml Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc

  • 30 ml Kirsch

  • 30 ml Sherry

  • 1 lb Gruyere

  • 1 lb Emmentaller

  • 1 Tbsp corn starch

  • 1 pinch baking soda

  • whole nutmeg

Directions

  • Grate cheese into a bowl alternating cheese and adding flower to keep it from clumping

  • Cut a clove of garlic in half and rub it on the inside of the pot, leave it in the pot

  • Pour 250 ml of Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc into the pot

  • Put on a low heat

  • After a few minutes add a handful of cheese, wait until cheese melts

  • Keep adding cheese as it melts

  • When all the cheese is added, mix Kirsch with corn starch and add to the pot

  • Add Sherry

  • Add a pinch of baking soda

  • Grate some nutmeg on the top to finish it off
